Meet our staff . . .

  • The Rev. Susan Nelson-Colaneri, Pastor

    HTLCHHPastor@gmail.com

Weather permitting, Pastor Susan can be found outside most Sunday mornings, smiling and greeting worshipers as they arrive. If the weather is inclement, you can be sure she's right inside the front door waiting for your arrival.

A second career pastor, Susan administered a private physical therapy practice for 18 years and then was Director of Parish Education at a large congregation in NJ for 6 years while she attended seminary. She has a B.S. in Music Education from NYU where she met her husband, opera conductor Joseph Colaneri; she received her Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary. Pastor Susan has a passionate interest in parish education for all ages, liturgy and music, and the arts in shaping and nurturing faith and spiritual growth.

  • Trent Whisenant, Parish Musician

Trent Whisenant joins Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in June of 2023 as Parish Musician after having served for two years as Director of Music and organist at Messiah Lutheran Church in Brownsburg, IN> He came to Indiana by way of Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music where he completed his Master of Music degree. His undergraduate studies were in politics and music at the University of the South in Sewanee, TN, an Episcopal institution.

Meet our council . . .

Church Council members are elected by the congregation at our annual congregation meeting. Council members may serve two consecutive terms (usually three years each). These are the people who are charged with facilitating various ministries, casting a vision for mission along with our pastor, and guiding and leading the stewardship of our gifts--time, talent and treasure.

Among our council members we have a wealth of experience, knowledge and a "go to it" attitude. Oh, and we also have fun at Council Meetings!
